GRAPHIC COMMUNICATION CLASSES
In addition to the Video intensive classes you will take for the Video Production Program, you are required to take several Graphic Communication Technologies courses. These classes teach you the fundamental skills of graphic design, typography and animation that will supplement your video skills and expand your digital toolkit. You will learn how to use professional design software like Photoshop and Illustrator that will assist you in the creation of content for your video projects.
Design & Typography introduces basic design concepts of color, space, composition and type treatment needed for effective title design, motion graphics, marketing and video supplementation.
In Computer Illustration, students learn how to use Adobe Illustrator to create and manipulate vector illustrations that can be used in Motion Graphics projects and for video supplementation.
Photoshop/Image Manipulation teaches students how to use Adobe Photoshop to create, adjust and manipulate the properties of still images for use in video projects and video supplements.
In Digital Photography, students learn how to use DSLR Camera to take dynamic and engaging still photographs. Students are introduced to concepts of lighting, exposure, color, framing and composition as they learn to use professional cameras and camera support equipment.
2D Motion Design offers an introduction to 2D and 3D animation techniques for use in video projects.
